Social Media in the Workplace

We are unable to hold our half day Employment Law Conference. However, we are excited to welcome Kelsie Kirkham, Associate with Parsons, Behle & Latimer and a member of the SEI SHRM Board.

Kelsie is a trusted advocate in healthcare and employment law. Her practice includes defending medical malpractice and licensure board disciplinary matters that involve physicians, hospitals, nurses and other healthcare providers. Kelsie also represents companies in employment law and commercial issues, including litigation and counseling in a variety of areas, such as:

  • Employment and termination agreements
  • Employee handbooks
  • FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and other discrimination laws
  • Wrongful termination claims
  • Breach of contract claims 
  • Sexual harassment investigations 

We will look at trends and evolving issues surrounding social media including: 

  • Social media and internet policies
  • Social media and the National Labor Relations Act
  • Company use of social media platforms
  • Employee use of social media platforms

This session will be submitted for one (1) SHRM and HRCI certification credits.
