Join us in person or virtually as John Garvin, Rehabilitation Field Consultant and Dan Wolford, Rehabilitation Field Consultant with the Idaho Industrial Commission discuss their programs and how they can help employers find employees. 

The Idaho Industrial Commission was established in 1978 to:

•Assist in Reducing the Period of Temporary Disability Resulting from Injury

•Restore the Injured Employee to Gainful Employment

•Assistance with Job Placement

Our Presenters:

John Garvin has been with the Idaho Industrial commission for a little over 8 years.  He previously worked for 10 years with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare in the Self Reliance program.  John has a degree in Business Management.  He is bilingual in both English and Spanish and he likes to proactively seek solutions, rather than waiting for and reacting to problems that can be prevented.  

Dan Wolford attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where there really was a free “on campus” ski slope.  After graduation, he moved to Wyoming where he worked in the Unemployment Insurance program for 16 years.  In 1996, Dan re-located to Idaho Falls.  After a one year “sentence” working for the Department of Health and Welfare as a Self Reliance Specialist, he transferred to the Industrial Commission.  Dan has worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant out of the Commission’s Idaho Falls office since 1998.

This session will be submitted for one (1) SHRM and HRCI certification credits.
